Conan And Company Suck Up To Comcast

Saturday December 5, 2009 7:57 AM

Nobody seems happier about the sale of NBC Universal to Comcast than Conan O’Brien and his cohorts at “The Tonight Show.” For the past four nights, Conan, Andy Richter and everybody has been sucking up to their new bosses with one hilarious sketch after another. Friday’s bit, seen above, pitches several pay-per-view options for “The Tonight Show” under Comcast plans. We’ll take the platinum package, please!

It all began back on Tuesday, when rumors surfaced about the sale, and Conan cracked that it’d be tricky to make jokes about the new bosses. Especially when they need to understand who they’re dealing with…

“I like pancakes!” The next night, they kept the Comcast ball of brown-nosing moving along.

By Thursday, the deal was done and Conan and company moved on from laying out the Comcast principles and went big with a musical number. It’s a “Comcastic Spectacular.” Hit it, Max!

Any excuse to get Conan playing the guitar and singing is a good excuse, I do say. If you liked all of that, then you’ll certainly enjoy seeing Conan with his wax statue, or Conan visiting his neighbors in Universal City.

This post was written by Sean L. McCarthy, who woke up feeling kinda Comcastic.
